The prenatal series

In traditional yoga philosophy, you are far more than a physical body. You're a layered map of physical tissue, flowing breath, emotional currents, inner wisdom, and pure joy. The five koshas.

In pregnancy, every one of those layers shifts at once. Our five-week series intentionally moves through them - from the outer physical body inward to your deepest layer of ease.

Each week we will also focus on your birth preparation with pelvic-floor awareness, active birthing positions and breathing techniques woven through.

After the 60 minutes of movement and rest, you’re invited to stay for our weekly tea ritual for a chance to further unwind, and have an honest conversation with the other Inner West mums in the room.

Nobody rushes off. That's the point!

Week 1 · Annamaya Kosha

A gentle but energising introduction to prenatal postures, active birthing positions, and guided meditation.

Intensity: gentle to medium

Physical grounding

Week 2 · Pranamaya Kosha

Our most active week. A well-supported, fluid practice of pregnancy-modified sun salutations and rhythmic standing postures to open the hips, groins and chest.

Intensity: medium to energetic

Flowing breath

Week 3 · Manomaya Kosha

Long lateral stretches to open the ribs and create breathing room for you and baby, paired with steady core and sacral work for the lower-back tightness so many of us carry.

Intensity: medium

Mental Space

Week 4 · Vijnanamaya Kosha

We turn inward. Grounding breath techniques and slow, deep outer-hip releases.

Intensity: medium to gentle

Inner Wisdom

Week 5 · Anandamaya Kosha

A soothing somatic practice. Rooted in Yoga Nidra, it asks nothing of the muscles with a focus on passive pelvic openness, restorative spinal support, gentle sound work for labour, followed by complete rest.

Intensity: deeply gentle

Total Bliss
