Studio policies
A few gentle guidelines so you know what to expect. These are here to keep things clear and fair - for you and for the small circle you're practising with.
Questions about any of this? Email hello@matreyoga.com.au anytime.

The prenatal series runs as a five-week block. Your place is held once payment is received. With only five mats in each circle, booking early is the surest way in.
-
Because the series is a small, continuous journey and places are limited, the following applies:
Before the series begins:
• Cancel 7+ days before the first class: full refund, or transfer to a later block.
• Cancel within 7 days of the first class: 50% refund, or transfer to a later block.
Once the series has started:• The series is booked as a whole, so individual classes aren't refundable.
• If you need to step away for a medical reason, please talk to me - I'll always try to find a fair and kind solution, whether that's a credit, a catch-up, or a pause.
Pregnancy is unpredictable. If something changes for you, reach out. These policies are a starting point, not a wall.
-
If you miss a class in your block, I'm happy to share that week's theme, breath focus, and any home practice so you can stay connected to the journey. Where space allows, a catch-up in another class may be possible - just ask.
-
Classes begin with settling and breath, which sets the tone for everything that follows. If you're running late, you're still welcome - slip in quietly and I'll help you join. To protect the calm, I may keep the door on the latch for the first few minutes only.
-
• Comfortable clothing you can move and breathe in.
• A water bottle.
• Any prop you particularly love (though mats and props are provided).
• Yourself, exactly as you are on the day tired, tender, energised, all of it welcome.
You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or "good at yoga." You just need to turn up.
-
Please complete your intake and health screening form before your first class (this will be sent to you once your booking is confirmed), and let me know if anything changes in your pregnancy along the way. Your body leads every practice - rest whenever you need to.
-
Class doesn't end on the mat. Stay for a cuppa afterwards if you can - the connection over tea is as much a part of Matre as the practice itself.
