Privacy policy

Matre Yoga ("Matre", "I", "me") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how I collect, use, store and protect your personal and health information, and your baby's, when you join a prenatal or Mums & Bubs series. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

    • Contact details: your name, email, phone number and address.

    • Pregnancy details (prenatal): due date or weeks pregnant, care provider and intended birth setting.

    • Birth and recovery details (Mums & Bubs): how your baby was born, your postnatal check and clearance for exercise, and recovery details you choose to share.

    • Health information: relevant conditions you share on the health & consent form, such as pelvic floor, abdominal separation, pelvic girdle pain, blood pressure or other conditions.

    • Your baby's details (Mums & Bubs): your baby's name and date of birth, and anything you share to help me position them comfortably and safely (for example reflux or a hip harness).

    • Emergency contact details.

    • Photo preferences: whether you're happy for you and your baby to appear in photos.

    • Booking and payment records.

    Health information, including your baby's, is sensitive information. I treat it with extra care and collect only what I need to look after you well. Sharing wellbeing details is always optional.

    • To run classes safely and adapt the practice for you and your baby.

    • To contact you about your booking, schedules and your series.

    • To respond in a medical or emergency situation.

    • To meet my insurance and duty-of-care obligations.

    • To send you occasional updates about Matre, if you've registered your interest. You can unsubscribe at any time.

    • Your information is stored securely, and only I can access it.

    • Digital records are kept in password-protected systems. Any paper forms are kept in a secure location.

    • I never sell, rent or trade your information.

  • I occasionally take photos in class for Matre's website and Instagram. I only share images of you or your baby with your consent, and you can choose to have your baby's face left out. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing me, and I'll remove images I control from future use.

  • I only share your or your baby's information:

    • in a medical emergency, with emergency services or your nominated emergency contact

    • where the law requires or authorises it

    • with your explicit consent.

  • We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal and insurance requirements, after which it is securely deleted or destroyed.

  • You can:

    • ask to see the information I hold about you or your baby

    • ask me to correct anything that's wrong

    • ask me to delete your information, subject to my legal obligations

    • withdraw your consent at any time, including for photos and emails.

  • My website is hosted on Squarespace, which may use cookies and basic analytics to keep the site working and understand visits. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
